A small, quick guide to the world of Biocarbon Amalgamate.
Posts titled “Film Reviews” are reviews of films screened by the writer for the first time. These will tend to be new theatrical, DVD, or VOD releases, but we will also happily be screening older films that we’ve never seen before and discussing them here.
“Thoughts” are commentary and discussion about films that we’ve already had a chance to see and are screening once again. As such, they won’t delve into the plot line of the film much, using that only to tease out larger themes or to discuss its relative success/failure (both artistically and commercially speaking).
There will be plenty of other posts of all sorts here and we will do our best to update this so you know what to expect.

He can be heard every Wednesday night as host of the Wow & Flutter radio program on Coast Community Radio of Astoria, Oregon. He doesn’t know the meaning of the word “quit.” Or “nepotism.”
Robert Ham is a freelance writer based out of Portland, Oregon. He has been published in SPIN, Alternative Press, Paste, Village Voice, The Oregonian, Willamette Week, Portland Mercury, Tiny Mix Tapes, Aux.Out., Indy Week, and Wondering Sound. Don’t knock the hustle.
